so last night i closed again. I was determined not to make a mistake and that everything would be perfect.
u til the safe locks me out at 12:20 instead of 1am.
all hell broke loose. there were panic attacks.
the manager on duty got it open for a few minutes, but told me that i only had 5 minutes till it had to be closed. (found out this morning that, that in fact, was not the case. after 5 minutes it would have beeped but would have been fine - oops)/. so i hurriedly count what i can see in the safe.
I don't finish my nightly stuff because i don't have an accurate safe count.
and no one is picking up their phones when i call for help.
yesterday was fine - last night was shit.
today i got my car looked at.
i have a broken transmission mount. the part itself shouldn't be more than 50$ and aparently its not that hard of a fix.
i have to go back tomorrow because they had to order the part.
Jimmie thankfully has volunteered to pick me up from the autoshop and hang out with me so that i'm not stranded.
cara came home and gave me one of her birthday cupcakes.
tonight i splurge and am taking us to go see baywatch (instead of pirates *slightly sad*).
today might be a better day.

great fucking day
this has been a great fucking day.
nothing can go right aparently.
I wake up first thing to getting bitched at by my mom.
I get ready and leave straight away to go get this fucking wire for her weed eater. - which she could have at any time gotten with my card - she did that with the bird seed - why not the wire?
i get there - no wallet.
i go back home.
i go back - buy an axtra 50 yards worth (80 yards)
go to work.
find out my safe was off last night.
feel like shit and stressed all day at work.
go home.
fight FOR AN HOUR with BOTH weed eaters trying to figure out what the fuck is going on with the wire and why i can't get it to work.
realize there is a missing piece - find it broken in the trash.
try to locate the mower because I can at least mow the lawn by the time mom gets home.
can't find it anywhere.
go back to lowes.
buy ANOTHER wire with piece included.
on the way back home my cruise control stops working in my car.
get home... only to realize i have bought the wrong type of wire....
meaning i ave to go back to lowes FOR A FOURTH TIME.
all that fucking gas wasted.
20$ of wire down the fucking drain.
still get bitched at passive aggressively because i didn't do anything to the yard.
even though i came home early specifically so i could do the yard.
nothing can go right in this great fucking day.
and my new computer is two times as slow as my old one. avira won't fucking load. the finger pad/mouse area is doing weird shit.
i'm so fucking over today.
i don't even know if i want to play D&D. i'd have to go back to that side of town and i've already used a day and a half's worth of gas.

computer purge
so i am giving my old laptop to my younger sister for her birthday.
I am a bit worried that she won't want it or like it because it is a hand-me-down, but at the same time.... its a free laptop for her. She won't have to watch netflix on her phone anymore and will have a laptop to do her school stuff on.
I hope she likes it.
but i have a SHITTON of saved pages, so guess where i'm putting all the links....

romance update
so there is a crush i get off an on, it comes and fades and comes back. well its back right now and i need it to go away haha.

i accepted the grants.
thats nearly 8000 per semester comig back to me.
tuition is about 4000 $ maybe it little more per semester (add in the health insurance and its like 1000) so lets say 5000.
8000 - 5000 = 3000
-300 for books.
2700.
send 1000 to savings.
1000 to car payments
700 to my checking account. (to be used to pay off credit card more than likely.)

fantasy future..... - not likely to happen.

okay lets say my prays come true and the University of Virginia allows a MFA Fiction Creative writing programwith a concentration in genre fiction.... and by some miracle i actually get in.
and i mean a miracle.
they only accept 5 people for fiction.
- free tuition.
- health insurance and school fees included.
- $20,000 fellowship income/teaching assistanceship income a year (for 2 years).
like holy shit.
there are student apartments as low as 400$ a month. that are pet friendly. (I have to have Smokey, no ifs ands or butts.)
lets say.... 200$ pet deposit and then a 40$ pet fee added each month. (i'm guessing here.)
rent
200 + (450 x 12) = 5600.
20,000 - 5,600 = 14,400.
so thats living expenses.
250 a month on groceries....
250 x 12 = 3000
14,400 - 3,000 = 11,400.
now car insurance.... lets say 200 a month?
200 x 12 = 2,400.
11,400 - 2,400 = 9,000.
now add in my car payments.... 130 a month.
130 x 12 = 1560
9000 - 1560 = 7440.
now.... phone.
52 x 12 = 624
7440 - 624 = 6816.
lets round that down to 6,500.
now that money would easily be spent..... trust me. oncluding gas and clothes and possible trips....
but... 20,000 is enough to live off of.
i would still try to work part time, because i'm not an idiot.
but woah.
if i did have a job and brought home even....200$ a month?
lets add all monthly expenses shall we?

plans for the future
so with the whole bed and breakfast idea pretty much on hold for a long time, i really don't know what way to go after i graduate.
but i got to talking with my mom.... and when i look back over my life thus far i have been inspired and encouraged and supported by a lot of influential people.
what do they all have in common?
they're educators.
now don't get me wrong, i've contemplated teaching ever since i was in high school. I just didn't want to major in teaching in college.
next i wanted to keep in mind that i don't want to go to grad school for anthropology. i LOVE anthropology but not enough to want to go into the field, thus going to grad school for that wouldn't make sense.
but creative writing? I've been considering that all semester.
if i go with creative writing and get a masters degree in it, then i could be qualified to teach it at a high school level.
work at foodlion while i go to grad school.
work at foodlion while i also double as a substitute teacher until.....
i find a teaching position.
i could teach composition and creative writing.
I also want to coach tennis.
