from what i gather.... the washer woman is a greiving mother and she finds sonya and macky (who are missing)- confusing macky as her lost son geraldo. they are in the carriboo cafe and the cook recognizes the missing children. he calls the cops who come to claim them, but the washer woman refuses and fights them thinking they will kill and take her son - who is not her son. in the end they shoot her in the head.
