Lisa Sawyer is an anthropology major and writer; she hopes to combine the two to create vivid works of fiction by taking aspects of the different cultures she learns about in her degree and giving her own fantasy worlds authenticity. Drawn to Celtic folklore she is inspired by the faeries of Scotland, Ireland, and Whales when writing short stories and plays. Her poetry is also often inspired by the fantastical side of life as well as her struggles with mental illness. Ultimately she hopes to inspire a love of reading, writing, and above all: an escape and a friend to all who read her work.
